CYCI#88 ~ Designers Choice

Hi there and Welcome to this week's CYCI Designers Choice Edition!

Who doesn't love a challenge when there are no boundaries? For this week's challenge I picked another favorite Unity stamp set...welcome to the hood and my Jaded Blossom wine tag die and went to town...

Here is what I came up with... 

What can I say...I love a fun sentiment! For base of the wine tag I used SU! Night of Navy and Echo Park's Anything Goes for the 2nd layer...I stamped the cute birdies and sentiments in SU! Night of Navy too...For the coloring of the birds I used my Spectrum Noir Markers that I got for my birthday...still working on that technique! For the 3x3 card I used SU! Whisper White...

This was a lot of fun to make and color!

CYCI#87 Color Challenge

Welcome to this week's CYCI Color Challenge...I am a big fan of blue and white...I love the "crisp" color combination of these two colors...

 Here is my take...

 I love making tag cards and when I saw this week's sketch I went through tag dies and picked Lawn Fawn's Tag You're It tag to get me going...Once I pick out my tag I went through my paper stash to find some fun blue paper...I used Studio G paper stack...and instead of using a stamp I used my Paper Smooches thanks die cut...I used SU! Night of Navy...I like how it "pops" out from the chevron pattern...I used some white ribbon from SU! and a clothespin from Recollections to bring it all together...

I can't wait to see what you come up with from this great sketch!

A Floral Hello

Here is my card for today's Unity Itty Bitty Challenge...

I found this cute one tucked away on my pegboard...A Floral Hello...My husband bought me some Spectrum Noir Markers for my birthday so I am still figuring them out! I used SU! Crumb Cake for the base...also some of their DSP plus their ribbon too! I pulled out my Memory Box Stitched Square dies for this too! I love how it turned out...now onto "rediscovering" my itty bittys!

CYCI #86 ~ Be Spooky

Hi there and welcome to this week's CYCI #86 A Sketch Challenge! While driving home this afternoon with my son (who is 6) asked me, "When is Halloween?...when I explained that it would be the end of next month he started talking about what he would like to be and what kind of Halloween candy we needed to buy! He is just like his mom...He loves Halloween! Needless to say I was in the mood to make a Halloween card for this week's challenge...

Here is my take...

 I recently got some cute Halloween dies from Simple Stories (through Peachy Cheap) and knew they would be a great embellishment to the card...this cute ghost, stars, and so spooky sentiment are part of the Frankie and Friends Bits and Pieces...love the name! Another recent purchase is the cardstock that I used...Echo Park's Hocus Pocus...love the colors! I used Memory Box Square Stitched dies for all the squares and a bit of SU! Wild Wasabi to help "pop" out the colors of the cardstock...The base of the card is SU! Crumb Cake though I still prefer to call it "Kraft" :) ...I used Paper Smooches Alphadot set to stamp Boo! in Memento Tuxedo Black...The clothespin I used is from Recollections...It was a fun card to make!

OSAT Blog Hop ~ Designer's Choice

Welcome to this month's OSAT Blog Hop...Designer's Choice!

I have recently "rediscovered" some of my Unity Stamp Co stamps while cleaning up my cluttered craft desk which is always fun! The stamp that I choose for this card is one of them...Undies in a Bundle but wasn't quite sure which direction to go with it...I recently clicked on Unity's {show and tell} fb page and saw a fun card with the stamp that I planned on using...I commented on the pic to tell her thanks for the inspiration and that I was going to "case" her card...her name is  Sharon Duff...so kudos to her and her fun card that inspired me!

Here is my card...

As soon as I saw her cute polka dot panties I grabbed my Authentique Spectrum Series 1 paper and went to town...I added a bit of ribbon that I have had for several years (I think it was a Micheal's purchase) and clothes pin from Recollections...I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then "fussy" cut the panties...I also used the Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp the sentiment...Put on your big girl panties...I love this fun stamp...mmm might even make a wine tag with this!...Stay tuned!

Can You Case It #85 ~ Color Change

Hi there and Welcome to this week's CYCI #85 Color Challenge!  Brown, Blue, and Yellow is one of my favorite color combinations...

 

 Here is my take...

For this card I dusted off my sewing machine and practiced a few times before I attempted to sew on the cardstock I chose for this card...needless to say I paid attention very carefully! For the stamp I used Unity Stamp Co. Keeping it Together...this is such a fun stamp...I stamped the stapler in SU! Chocolate Chip and the sentiment in their Crushed Curry...I grabbed some of burlap ribbon also from SU! ...I also used their stapler...The base of the card is SU! Whisper White and the cardstock is from Fancy Pants Design...Wave Catcher "Goggles"...
